"prefer...to" or "prefer...than" Which is the preferred or correct answer?

Dear 6G cyberians,

It was quite a debate in class today as many of us are caught between the choice of using "to" or "than" after the word "prefer".

I've posted the answer under 'Writing it Right" section of the blog.

Good debate today!

Updates on the Blog... missing in action

Dear Cyberians,

It feels so great to be online once again.

I apologise for the silence for the last two days.

It was due to a migration exercise of my old internet provider to a wireless optic service.

Now that we're back in business, do check out the EL questions to read more about "Verbs of Perception".

See you tomorrow.

There is a crazy website that creates a totally different version of some classical children stories. All you have to do is to key in different types of nouns, adverbs, adjectives and click a button to generate a really unique story.

Have a go with this activity. You can create a local version of Cinderella with a Singaporean twist to it.
